Strategic Planning

The Mitchell Technical Institute (MTI) is proud to present its Strategic Plan for the years 2002 through 2007. It is the culmination of a yearlong process that involved hundreds of hours of discussions and meetings and saw the participation of over 100 administrators, faculty, and staff of the Mitchell Technical Institute. The high level of communication and participation in the process ensures that every MTI employee has a stake in the future of the Institute.

With this plan, MTI establishes nine ambitious goals that are rooted in our values of excellence, quality, commitment, higher learning, and professionalism. The emphases on learning, linkages and growth, chart our course for the next five years. Our newest linkage with the Mitchell Technical Institute Foundation moves MTI to a new level of involvement with our constituents by reaching out to alumni, decision makers, policy setters and opinion leaders.

While the structure of the plan helps to lend stability to the Institute, it is first and foremost a dynamic plan that serves as an instrument of change. With this strategic plan the Mitchell Technical Institute positions itself to respond to the challenges and opportunities of the 21st Century.
